Master Gardener Training

We are sorry to announce that the 2015 Master Gardener class has been canceled due to Dr. Shibles' retirement.  We expect to have a class in 2016.

The Master Gardener program is designed to train volunteers to help the Polk County Urban Environmental Horticulturist with his programs. After training is completed in December, you will be expected to contribute volunteer hours over the next year and to continue your education. If you are interested in learning more about the Master Gardeners, or becoming one please follow this link. Cost is expected to be around $140.  This cost will pay for books, teaching supplies, and a Master Gardener shirt when you complete the class successfully.
